Funny and Inexplicable

My current vice is buying DVD's (mostly from Borders) for cheap. I am accruing quite a collection - some are excellent films, others are just guilty pleasures. I had no idea how much I like period dramas but the evidence speaks for itself.

On Saturday, I had a great breakfast with friends at Three Bags Full in Abbotsford. The very tasty scrambled eggs with fetta, and coffee, cost me about $17. I went to Borders a couple of hours later, where Ingmar Bergman films are currently being sold for ten dollars a pop. Ing-mar Berg-man. I know I know that delicious fresh food and reproduced DVD's are not really comparable - I just can't help but wonder (without any means to come to an understanding) at the value of things.

The fact that I get to keep such things as Bergman's Fanny and Alexander blows my tired, little mind.

Before it was a bit messy - now it's so messy that I'm beginning to like the mosaic it's become. But I will clean it up today.
